Born in Novi Ligure, Italy in 1991, Laura Micheli is a jewellery artist currently based in Zurich where she handcrafts every piece in her atelier.

Where are you originally from and where are you based?
I‘m Italy but I now live in Zurich, Switzerland.

My closest friends, my family.
What are your life essentials/ what do you carry with you all the time?
Sketchbook, pen, phone, headphones, a smile.

My brother and his girlfriend. Chatting about quarantine life.

Chocolate.

What are some inspiration things, designs, artists, music, sites that you find yourself re-visiting often?
They change all the time. In this period I’m fascinated by color in the wokr of Post-Impressionist painter Pierre Bonnard and by the
obsessions and visions of Yayoi Kusama. I love the work of designers like Max Lamb or jewelry artists like Hermann Jünger, Otto Künzli,
Piero Babetto. Architecture is a stable which I always revisit to study light, structure, composition – in this period especially Latin American
Modernist Architecture, from Lina bo Bardi to Luis Barragán.
Is this mix too random?
Favourite cities? Why?
I will mention the cities I have lived in: Milan because it‘s home, London for the freedom, Paris for the beauty, Zurich for the nature. If I
really had to choose one, my home country would probably win.
Favourite drinks?
Black coffee, good wine, gin&tonic
