Interview // Rosivita

Behind this label hides the "Schmuckrebellin", singer and "transmediale Querdenkerin" Rosivita.

Rosivita crosses all kinds of boundaries with fun and joy surprising herself, her audience and her customers again and again. This joie de vivre is transmitted to the wearers of their rings, bracelets and necklaces, handcrafted from brass, copper, bronze, silver and gold.

Formal reduction, archaic, sleek, simple elegance with a gestural, wild treatment of the surfaces and the conscious inclusion of organic weathering processes characterize Rosivita's distinctive style.

What are your life essentials--What do you carry with you at all time?

Most time of my life I am carriing around half of my houshold. Just in case of emergency. But I am working on this.
I must always have in my bag my wallet, lip stick, headphones and glasses.

Who was your most previous text/call to and what about?

Talking with a friend about his personal idea of endless love and how can it be understood.

 Last meal you would eat?

I would start with a self-made squid-salad. As main dish, a leg of lamb in the oven with rosmarin potatoes. Spanish flan for dessert.

Favorite cities? Why?

Since I was there, 25 years ago, I fell in love with Lisbon; the melancholic atmosphere, the smell of decay and the charm of abandoned houses. The mood of the people and of course the wonderful food.

Favorite drinks?

Water, beer, and a good mixed dry Manhattan Cocktail or Campari Orange (fresh pressed)

Most influential person in your life?

For my singing carrier: Patty Smith
For my designing and ARTViTA there is no special person.

The whole world is a huge "inspiration-supermarket" for me. I can be influenced by any form of nature, sounds, colours, people etc.

Tried and true methods against creative block?

Till now there was no need to think of it. I am a idea-machine.

What are some inspiration things, designs, artists, music, sites that you find yourself re-vistiting often?

David Lynch, Tries van Noten, Vivian Westwood, Tom Ford, William Turner, Calder, Jan Fabre ...

I like art, craft, music, nature, love, creativity and interresting people
I do not like stupid and unconscious humans
